Postponed-Harry Chapin Food Bank

It is important to give back to the community, so we will be going back to volunteer at the Harry Chapin Food Bank. Each participant must complete the volunteer waivers which we will provide for you to fill out prior to the activity.

When you arrive at Harry Chapin Food Bank, 3760 Fowler Street, please pull into the parking lot south of the building, drive past the fenced-in area, to the doors marked “office.” Park outside of the fence, and come in through the office door. If the parking lot is blocked or busy, please drive to the back of the building, (Central Street via Carrell Rd or Winkler Ave). You may also park in the grass along Central Street. We suggest ride-sharing, if possible.

REMINDERS & VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES –

• All attire must be clean and modest.  Volunteers must wear closed-toe and heel shoes; no sandals or flip-flops will be allowed; jeans, shorts (short’s length must be at least to your fingertips), t-shirts are acceptable; no tank tops or bare midriff tops. Volunteers not properly attired will be asked to leave.
• No smoking, eating, or beverages allowed in the volunteer areas. There are a soda machine on-premises for your use, in the break room only.
• Cell phones, iPod’s or other electronic devices are not to be used while on the warehouse floor.
• Please leave purses and other valuables in your vehicle, there is not a locked location to keep these items. Due to food safety standards, these items are not allowed in volunteer areas.
