Visit the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium with us! A non-profit environmental education organization in Fort Myers, Florida, located on 105 acres, the Center includes a natural history museum with live native and teaching animals, and exhibits about the animals, plants, and environment of Southwest Florida.
We were lucky enough to get generous sponsors for this event as it would have otherwise cost the group to visit, so you don’t want to miss out on this unique, free opportunity 💜 We will be taking part in a guided nature walk, live animal talk, and butterfly and birds of prey aviary tour 🤯👏
Arrival time at the bus parking lot is 9:45AM as we will head out on our guided tour promptly at 10AM – don’t get left behind!
REMINDERS
Attire
- You must wear closed-toed shoes – we recommend sneakers that you don’t mind getting dirty due to muddy areas
- Check the weather for the day – if it is going to be warm, avoid long sleeve shirts/heavy, thick pants/black clothing as this can cause you to overheat
- If you are sensitive to heat/sun, remember to wear sunglasses/hats and bring a portable fan
What To Bring
- We recommend wearing/bringing sunscreen
- We recommend bringing a water bottle as you will not have access to water otherwise
Other Things To Note
- Use the restroom before arriving
- End time is subject to change depending on how long it takes us to get through the tour and programs – should be around 12:30PM
