Cheers to Acceptance is a celebratory event held by My Autism Connection, Inc. for adults diagnosed with autism to honor World Autism Month. However, this event is open to anyone who wishes to learn more about autism. This virtual event will be held on Thursday, April 30th on Zoom to close out World Autism Month in a celebratory fashion. Multiple breakout rooms will be offered, each focusing on a different topic. Registrars do not have to attend all sessions and will be asked to specify which room(s) they wish to join.
1:00PM: Welcome!
1:15PM-2:30PM: Game Room (breakout)
2:00PM-3:15PM: Q&A Panel with Adults Diagnosed with Autism
3:30PM-4:00PM: Meditation (breakout)
We wish everyone to join us for the welcome portion of the event if possible, and then registers will have the option as to which sessions they attend. The Game Room is specifically for those diagnosed with autism, teens and up, to let go and interact with other individuals diagnosed with autism. The Q&A panel is welcome to everyone and will feature some of My Autism Connection’s very own members. Topics covered will be Growing Up with Autism, Autism Acceptance vs. Awareness, and Neurodiversity. This will be a unique and deserving opportunity to hear directly from those diagnosed with autism. Lastly, the meditation segment will be open to anyone as a way to relax and close out the event.
Anyone who wishes to join us must send an email to officeadmin@my-autism-connection.websitepro.hosting, specifying which room(s) they are interested in attending. From there, they will be sent a link to register
