About the show…

The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical. Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,” “Do Re Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision.

Arrival time at the entrance is 5:50PM as we will head out on our guided tour promptly at 6PM – don’t get left behind! 

Dress in your best! NO FLIP-FLOPS, NO CASUAL SHORTS, AND NO T-SHIRTS, and be sure to iron whatever you are wearing before you head out the door!

Free Valet parking for patrons is available behind the theatre on 4th Avenue South – provided by Valet 1 – or in-front of the theatre at The Inn on Fifth. Valet service is shared with Truluck’s and The Inn on Fifth.

Free Garage Parking

Free garage parking is available adjacent to the theatre, between 5th Avenue South and 4th Avenue South.  Entrances are located on 8th Street South and 4th Avenue South.  Overflow parking garage available on 8th Street South and 6th Avenue South.
