1:00 PM – 1:15 PM | Arrival

  • Light music playing in the background
  • Sign-in table + Name tags
  • Light refreshments

1:15 PM – 1:30 PM | Icebreaker & Goodie Bags

  • 🏐 Beachball Icebreaker
  • 🎁 Distribute goodie bags

1:30 PM – 2:15 PM | Lunch & Light Activities

  • Lunch available
  • Tables/areas set up for small talk, relaxed games (e.g., giant Jenga, Uno, etc.)

1:30 PM – 2:00 PM | Tour: Employment Opportunities at a Resort

  • 💼 Optional breakout tour with Bethany
  • Small group led through nearby resort facilities
  • Learn about potential job openings & work culture

2:30 PM – 4:00 PM | Karaoke & Crafts

  • 🎤 Karaoke Station: Open mic with a fun, casual atmosphere
  • 🎨 Craft Station: DIY keychains, seashell art, or mini photo frames
  • 🧩 Game Station: (Giant Jenga, Uno, Axe Throwing, etc.)
  • Participants are free to move between stations at their own pace

4:00 PM | Event Wrap-Up

  • Hand out feedback/business cards or QR code for applications for those interested

It was suggested by one of our members that we wear Hawaiian shirts if we have one, which is a great suggestion!

This is certainly not mandatory, but if you do have a beachy-themed touristy Hawaiian shirt or T-shirt, this would be a great opportunity to wear it.

 

PARKING INFO:

They have reserved spots for us to park in their employee parking lot.

Here is the address of the Employee Parking Lot, and instructions for parking:

1207 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach

You must park inside the chain linked fence. Security knows our group is coming, and we will have spots blocked off four our group, so tell them you are with the My Autism Connection group at the gate.

Everyone driving plan to meet in the lot around 12:30, and at 12:45 we’ll walk over to the resort together.

 

Everyone being dropped off or taking a rideshare can go directly into the resort and ask for the Compass Rose Ballroom – tell them you are with the MAC Group.

They are doing so much work for us, we want to have a good turnout.

It looks like it is will be a fun no-pressure day, and a great opportunity to just hang out and have some fun together.
